Leucistic

Leucism (/ˈljuːkɪzəm/; or /ˈluːsɪzəm/) is a condition in which there is partial loss of pigmentation in an animal resulting in white, pale, or patchy coloration of the skin, hair, feathers, scales or cuticle, but not the eyes. Unlike albinism, it is caused by a reduction in multiple types of pigment, not just melanin.  - Wikipedia

In all the time I've been observing and photographing birds, I've never seen on with leucism, so when I spotted this outside this morning I was quick to grab a few shots through the window.  Terrible quality photo (I've got to clean those damned windows), but I'm going with it for today's blip just because it is such an unusual sight.  This would also count towards my Yard Bird list for the year, but I'm going to wait until later in the year when I can get a better shot to add it.

Hubs and I had a nice long chat with my parents this morning.  They are headed to Sierra Vista tomorrow - wish I was going with them.  A little later, Hubs and I had a nice 2-mile walk which felt great.  Temps are in the low 40's with sunny skies, very nice being outside.

MIL is over now and she and Hubs are playing a rousing game of War (cards).  From the sounds of things, she's beating him as I hear a lot of cackling.  I'd better go check to make sure they aren't both cheating!

Finished sorting all my AZ pics.  Started with something around 1200 and have it under 230 now.  Pretty pleased with some of my shots.  Which makes up for the really awful ones!
