Aboyne

The day was very cold, and I am afraid the cold dulled my enthusiasm for photography. We were having a walk at Aboyne, and after a couple of desultory photographs I put my gloves on and the camera was not seen again during the walk.

The sun was very bright and very low, blinding when facing the direction of the sun. No doubt this also cast long shadows, and this summer house in the grounds of the Huntly Arms Hotel was almost entirely in shade.

I may be a fair-weather photographer, on occasions I am also a fair-weather  walker, and so I was glad when we got back to the car and turned the heater on, not to mention seat warmers. In fact today I thought a steering wheel warmer would have been a nice addition also.
