Gondolas, Venice

We walked through the Dosoduro section of Venice towards the Peggy Guggenheim museum.  Much quieter this side of the city.  The museum was calm and very tranquil and we had lunch there which was delicious - soft cheese, tomatoes and basil on toasted bread.  We enjoyed the extensive collection of modern art which included Kadinsky, Pollock and Salvador Dali.  Great view from the terrace of the Grand Canal.  Walked over the Accademia bridge to St Marks where we saw the Florian Cafe but my photos of it weren't very good, sadly.  Lovely gelato and home.

After dinner we facetimed with Santana's son, DIL and new baby.  Lovely boy with lots of hair.  They all seemed very well, although Mum was tired which is to be expected.

Great day.
