Penalty!

Falkirk played Inverness Caledonian Thistle in an SPFL Championship match at Westfield on Saturday.

After a very poor start to the season, the Bairns are beginning to put together a decent run of results and, despite being outplayed for long periods of the first half, began to gain the ascendancy as half-time neared. Early in the second-half, the match swung significantly in Falkirk's favour when an Inverness player had a rush of blood to the head was sent off for violent conduct. Soon afterwards, the Bairns were awarded a penalty, which was scored by team captain Aaron Muirhead (pictured). About ten minutes later, another penalty award resulted in Falkirk taking a 2-0 lead through another Muirhead goal.

The match ended in a 3-1 win for Falkirk.

It's a rather blurry photo from my point-and-shoot camera under the afternoon floodlights, but it is a record of my day nonetheless.
