A grand day out.

Today was date day with wifey, after a busy few days it was nice to spend time with her. We packed a picnic, filled flasks and went on an adventure.
New walking boots at the local garden centre was given an added bonus of a resident Robin who was singing his heart out so loudly on top of the RSPB section I thought it must be an animatronic bird. Nope. It took up residence at Christmas and hasn’t left, washes when they water the plants and steals food from patrons of the cafe.
Then a test ride on an eye wateringly expensive posh electric bike (my car is to be replaced with an electric bike but not at these prices) followed by lunch at Shorham airport to recover from the test ride and watch a new pilot learning how to land a helicopter. He was struggling getting his flare right and on one occasion (typically after I jumped back into the car with numb fingers) he came very very close to a tail strike and landed it very hard on the very front tips of his skids!
