I am making a major presumption. Student flats frequently have an old sofa on the front verandah, or in the absence of a verandah, between the house and the street. Those are discarded and broken standard sofas. This, however, is a painstakingly tiled affair. Likely to be majorly uncomfortable for sitting on in the summer evenings (it looks west) enjoying a cold beer.

As well as the house number being by the letter box, it is also on the wall of the house, using more and different tiles.
