Pharos

5.0C with heavy hail and sleety showers. One or two rumbles of thunder. WSW/W/WNW to 31 mph with gusts to 41 mph (early morning to 53 mph).

Fergus and I went for a walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and carried on along Hall Street then the park and out Kilkerran road. I could see a ship out beyond Davaar island in Kildalloig Bay. I checked when we got home and it was Pharos, the buoy laying vessel.

It was very wet underfoot today, lots of standing water, big puddles, and some remnants of piles of hailstones so we turned round at the cemetery where there was a lot of water on the road. We came back along the street side of the park then came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed for half day). Soehow we managed to miss the showers ... for once.
