Over the Jetty

6.5C with squally showers and bright sunny spells. Wind NW/NNW to 33 mph with gusts to 51 mph. The wind hasn't dropped at all since midnight.

Fergus and I went for a walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and carried on along Hall Street then the park and out Kilkerran road. We had seen Ayress being loaded with wood when we were out after 7am but  she was gone by the time we passed again. Plenty of wood still on the quay. Several fishing boats had not gone to sea today.

We turned back when we got to Glenramskill House and came back the same way and into the wind. We carried on along the street side of the park then came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open). Not so much standing water on the roads today, but Fergus still managed to get fairly wet. I had on new walking boots, so I was much the drier of the two of us.
