Alentejano Hospitality

We were invited for a lunch of barbecued river fish at the Padre's today, and so thankful, really not in a state to cook here today. This is Ricardo doing the honours, they were delicious. And, being Portugal, though it was supposedly just a "simple family affair" - five of us, with Sandra - there were the usual plentiful three courses - as well as fish, pork kebabs for main, and three different desserts, plus bread, of course. And wine and coffee and liqueurs.

You can see why I hesitated when the Padre asked how many of the visiting young people we could host for lunch on Thursday...
