Extreme shopping

Paid a visit to Tesco this morning for the usual weekly shop. 

Most surprised to find this man poking about under the veg counter - I could only assume that he was looking for a leek!

On a far more serious note, a friend and I went to look at the site not far from my home where the council planning department has given permission for a house to be built in a woodland which some years ago they protected with a Tree Preservation Order. Some 20 trees are marked with numbers or letters and we saw that the first one has already been felled. There are bats and red squirrels in the area too! It was initially turned down because it was a TPO area, but then allowed to go ahead after the applicant appealed against the decision! What a joke!
