But, then again . . . . .

The Loch.

I had a trip to West Linton to get the bee keeping club’s books audited ready for the AGM on Wednesday. Hon Auditor has this lovely view from his sitting room and I just had to use it for today’s Blip. He used to keep the loch stocked with trout for his paying guests but, when he realised that he was merely feeding the local tribe of otters, he stopped. Personally, I’d consider it worth doing just to see the otters. Unfortunately, the honourable gentleman feels that his great age (he’s nearly 84 you know) and his failing memory render him unable to carry out his duty any more. It’s a shame as, although he would never admit it, he’s a very good bee keeper. I had to visit one of his neighbours afterwards to deliver some oxalic acid solution to medicate his bees; it’s a little bit late – but still worth doing. There was, of course, a price to pay for the medication; he has now been nominated to take over the role of Hon Auditor – as from next Wednesday.

I’ve just posted the last two days’ Blips.
