Boatyard, Tarbert

Back in Tarbert for the monthly Constituency meeting and obviously the sinking was in everybody's mind.  For some delegates it was the first time they had beenin the village since the tragedy and everybody wanted to do something.

There was a lot of support for the local councillor Anne Horn who has been working very hard over the past ten days and she suggested that we hold a collection and raffle and that the proceeds of the usual teas and coffees be donated to the Nancy Glen fund.   All that  produced over six hundred pounds in a very short period of time.

Jeane Freeman also spoke to what was a very well attended CA meeting about her work as Social Security Minister.   Afterwards we walked down to the pier to get the ferry as the light began to fade on what had been a deceptively spring like day, though cold.
