Now, as I see it......

Hedge cutting

The hedge to the field opposite our house gets cut once a year, sometimes as early as November but usually never after the first week of February. By the end of the year it has grown high enough to block our view so if it wasn't cut at all, by the second year it would be enormous. It had never been cut as late as this so as W's walk this morning would take her past the house of the man who looks after the field, she said she'd have a word. And a very effective word it was too! They assured her it hadn't been forgotten but within an hour the tractor had arrived and the hedge was duly trimmed. Thankfully we get on well with the family so I'm sure they wouldn't have taken offence.
