Compare and contrast?

And behold, there it was - GONE.
:¬(
Once upon a time it used to look like this:-

I knew it was due, but HEY! It's a miss.
By lunch I'd taken a whole 850 steps, or thereabouts.
In correction thereof I took off, parked at Sainsbury's and wandered town feeling like a right touroid.
The number of shops which have either closed or changed hands, including another Pub, apparently closed.
I dare say I could do a fair few entries on the changing face/death throws of Penrith; the Red-Cross charity shop bore a sign:-
"Closed until further notice".

Another where I do NOT encourage close scrutiny  - you'll see where the wee car used to be.

Update:-
Curiously I had no recollection of the "El Canario" sign; apart from the fact it wouldn't have been visible "as was"
Did a search, was offered "El Canario- Penrith"
Search shows a page for them, click it yields:-
404. That’s an error.
The requested URL

was not found on this server. That’s all we know.
The "Trip adviser" claims *****, but again; click the link goes to:-
This page is on holiday…

And you should be too. We'll check 200+ sites to find you the lowest hotel prices.

SO - as they say:-
"Your guess is as good as mine."
I thought it didn't look open, but didn't go to read the door.
?????-??

Found a link which WORKS:-
