D'Orsay View

Looking across the Seine toward the Sacré Coeur Basilica on Montmartre, from the top level of the Museé d'Orsay. The utter stillness of the image contrasts with the bustle of the museum, which actually was less crowded than usual. I was there with Gregory (not in the blip), for our last outing before he took the Eurostar back to London this afternoon.
I met Gregory  on the telephone  in 1999 when we were both at Deutsche Bank. I was on the graveyard shift in New York and he was my contact in London (more details here). We met in person only after I retired in 2000. We hit it off together early on, when we found we had a common interest in art--and that has been a key impetus for his regular visits with us in Paris.
