Cromarty Primary School

Awoke to lovely light and sunshine on the Caledonian Canal. We’d decided to spend the day in and around the Black Isle. A great walk along the beach from Rosemarkie to Chanonry Point. No dolphins today though. Then on to Cromarty for lunch. I’ve been to Cromarty a few times. It’s a delightful wee town though right at the end of the road. This is the back view of the Victorian Primary School which currently has 60 pupils. I liked all the points and particularly the tower/steeple. The extra is some snowdrops and winter aconites growing in Cromarty. Home via Fortrose where we visited our friends J&R and caught up with their news.

We’ve had all sorts of weather again with brilliant sunshine and heavy snow showers. We’re back in our cottage now with the wood burner alight and a bottle of red opened. We won’t need much to eat after the huge lunch but we picked up some cheese at the Cromarty Cheese Shop so we are nicely sorted.

Unexpected and amazingly good news from Murrayfield ...
