At the Beach

My friend came over today and we decided to head off to the beach...I was a little dubious as it was such a hot day....and sun on my English skin does not go down too well.

We ate our lunch under the shade of a Pandanus tree... (hoping not to get bonked on the head by a pandanus seed..they are rather big and heavy) ....extra....then headed down to the beach.

I love this beach just south of Hastings point...we were the only ones on it...only mad dogs and Englishmen or so the saying goes....the access was like walking over hot coals....... but when we got down to the water a cool breeze awaited us along with the lovely cool paddling water...the dog was so happy he flopped down and pulled himself along with the sand scratching his belly.

Just a little kissed by the sun we found our way back to the car and put the AC full blast and flapped our gums all the way home.
