Garden envy

Our neighbours had their garden totally 'done over' last year and the results are superb ... my only quibble is the grass steps (not all of them are shown - there's quite a few!), but I happen to know that one of them LOVES mowing. Unlike LH. They very kindly let us view it as we must get ours sorted and, if possible, before Dad's 90th party. So, no pressure! I loved these veggie beds; and the grasses (but wouldn't they just love the gravel to seed in?). Now to think of something veggie I could grow over summer, minimum maintenance, maximum return (that'd be onions and potatoes then, as per usual ...).
