Blue sky morning!

A beautiful blue sky this morning so we decided to drive to the coast (about 7/8 miles away). This was my favourite image of the day - the views of the village feel a bit too contrasty maybe a mix of the bright midday light and the polarising filter. Staithes is one of those picture postcard villages with red pantile roofs made famous by photographer Joe Cornish.

Our walk today took us from Staithes village and onto Boulby Cliffs - next time we'll probably park along the Cowbar Road so we don't have quite such a trek before we get to the more interesting landscape. Still it was a first for us and it was good to be able to look back towards Staithes village from the highest vantage point in the area.
