What is This?

This flowering plant has just showed up in the garden; I have no idea what it is, probably a weed. But it is making a bright color spot in the garden..... there is not much else with bright color right now. I wouldn't plant this flower, but I may let it stay where it is if it behaves.

Granddaughter is still struggling..........we are practicing Detaching with love.... Not reacting.....Not giving in to manipulation. None of it easy while we stayed at our son's house all afternoon. I did get her to teach me how to knit a cap for a good cause......which distracted her into a better space for a little while. The baby is smiling through it all; bless her sweet disposition!
