Exeter

Something weird has happened and today’s blip uploaded with tomorrow’s date so this blip is actually tomorrow - which will explain why we did things in reverse...

No rest for the wicked meant after breakfast with MrRoly’s mum and our niece it was time to drive to Exeter, again for Eldest.

While we were skiing, she applied through college to take part in a Holocaust Education Trust ‘thing’. If successful, she would meet Holocaust survivors and here their stories, visit Nazi concentration camps and then use her experiences to continue educating people about the Holocaust.

Anyway, she is one of four picked from the college and today was the first meeting in Exeter, where she met and talked with a lady who survived Bergen-Belsen.

While Eldest was there (I would have loved an opportunity like this so am a little envious), we explored Exeter city centre - I’ve never been before! Good weather always helps with first impressions but it seemed lovely and I’ll probably be back!!

Home now to find the Boy survived his hike, enjoyed his sleepover at his mates and is incapable of feeding cats/washing up...
