A Few Spots of Rain

We only got a few spots of rain on our way down south and it was warm. This shot is at the top of the Lindis Pass. Two days later this pass was covered in snow.

When we reached Wanaka but we couldn't find any accommodation. John does not like booking beforehand but may have learnt is lesson this time!
It was fully booked up mostly because the West Coast was expecting ..severe weather with ex-cyclone Gita.

We headed of to Cromwell and there was no accommodation there either. We did book for the next night there. Next stop was Alexandra. All the Motels were full and we were told the Camping Ground may have something,.. they did! By then it was around 6pm.
