Leaving Home

She's got her dolly and her party bag, what more could she need?!!!
I felt much better this morning after a more satisfactory amount of sleep and obliging children who didn't wake up until 7am.
And after the mountain of bacon sandwiches that wonderful Mrs Z provided along with huge cups of tea.
What a lovely Sunday morning!
We all went into Milton Keynes shopping centre to check out the Disney Store - "We're not buying anything, we're just looking at things so you can let Father Christmas know what you might like"
Father Christmas could walk round grabbing stuff with his eyes shut and he'd still manage to get things on their list!!!!
We also went to a food show in the hall which was full of stands selling yummy and weird and wonderful things. The Little Misses had a fancy sausage hot dog, Mr K had a Kangeroo Burger, Mrs Z had a wild boar burger - they were all lovely. I had a Mediterranean chicken wrap thing that was vile. Oh well!!!
Then it was to the toy department in John Lewis which is always a joy with four small children!
We were checking out the Innotab for Miss E which is a tablet for her to play games on, do writing and maths and put her photos on. Looks fab so that will be her main Christmas present.
Miss L's getting a £10 tinkerbell tea set. Ha, ha it's a good job they've got no idea about the value of things yet!!
I had a complete disaster in the kitchen tonight. I'd bought a lovely slow roast beef joint which said to add beef stock or wine to the pot. I stupidly added both so it was sat in over an inch of liquid. When I went to check on it an hour later it had boiled to a rubbery lump!!!
Mr Tescos was due later tonight so we had nothing in the house to eat.
I drove to Tescos Express in Buckingham - by this time it was after 6pm and we're normally thinking baths and bed! - and bought a load of sausages.
I stupidly put them into the oven (thinking it'd be quicker because the oven was so hot!!) and they took hours to cook.
Eventually, at about 7pm - after almost three hours of cooking!!! - we sat down to sausages and mash.
Ridiculous!!!
Woohoo, no school tomorrow!!!!! The Little Misses are on half term and we don't have to get up. We don't have to be anywhere until 1pm. Bliss!!!!
