Life Savors

"She's Back!"

It didn't take long for the word to get out that the feeders had been replenished.   The yard filled with all the usual suspects: finches, sparrows, wrens, chickadees, titmice, cardinals and woodpeckers.  I sat out in the early afternoon sunshine and marveled that the temperature was more pleasant than any we had felt while in the Southwest.  Apparently, we even missed some near 80 degree days here at home.

Our flight got in about 12:30 a.m. EST, which was half hour earlier than expected.  The gain was completely wiped out by two jams on the luggage conveyor belt that took an hour to fix.  We got home at 2:30 a.m. and my bed felt delightful. I have been a bit of a sad-sack all day, but I am determined to stay up for the hockey game.  Unfortunately for us, most of the games are on the west coast with a start time of 7:30, but for us that's 10:30.
