Life through the lens...

Frozen

Patterns on a frozen window for Abstract Thursday.
Surprisingly this is the INSIDE of our kitchen window! Our little cottage doesn’t have double glazing, but this is the first time since we moved in 20 years ago. Just shows how cold it is.
The extra is another first. Snowdrifts on the inside! Blown through the gaps in the old door.
See extra.

Have just returned from a trip out in the car.
Our nearest town is almost a ghost town. Most shops closed, and even two banks.
However all the hairdressers were open, and the bread shops and butchers.
We made it to the farm shop, but they were closed.
So it will be a walk down to the CoOp tomorrow.

We should be setting off tomorrow to drive down to Exmouth on our way to Cornwall.
However because of the red warning for Devon and Somerset we have decided to postpone our holiday and go down on Sunday.
C and G have kindly said we can stay on an extra two days as they have no one coming in for a few weeks. They also have quite a bit of snow at the moment.

Not happy with Premier Inn as they wouldn’t do us a good deal to change our reservation to Sunday night. Didn’t expect a refund, but thought they might do us a deal under the circumstances. We have stayed there a few times before.
So we have booked at a Travelodge at half the price, and free cancellation up to lunchtime on the day of arrival.

Hope you are all safe and well.
Especially those in Scotland, the South Of England and Wales.
