Life in Sunny Dubai

Church

I snuck a picture in during the service this morning just to record this big change. The villa we met in was fine and so much closer to home, but this building, which contains three large halls plus numerous other smaller meeting rooms, is so much nicer to be in. It actually feels like church. The acoustics are better too.

And in the afternoon, we attended the Women's World Day of Prayer service at our old church which is pretty much on our doorstep! We learnt about Suriname today, a country at the top of South America which few people have heard of, but to our amazement, one of the ten Surinamese citizens who live in the UAE was in the congregation! There you go.

In the big clearout, some light curtains emerged which fit on G's window.  They had to have the hem let down though, so we went over to the tailor downstairs. All done while you wait, at the grand cost of £3! I love living in Dubai!
