Fallen Angels

Out in the garden in the sunshine this morning, the snow melting faster as the day progressed.  The hellebores, buried under the snow for the last few days, are picking up their heads.  I've seen evidence online of the damage done by the low temperatures in other gardens, especially where plants were exposed to the icy winds.  So far so good here.  Many old flowers needed tidying in the crocus frame and the harvest was the most colourful thing in the garden!  The rain that came later will clear the last of the snow.
