Barn Owl

The marina was still frozen so a leisurely morning and after lunch we took the car and went exploring.  We headed towards Eccleshall and ended up at the Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre.   A fascinating place.

They had a wide variety of wildlife mostly rescued by the authorities and placed with them as the only suitable home.  There were many birds of prey, "Wolf x Dogs", Racoons, coati, various monkeys etc.  They were doing very admirable work and charging a reasonable fee.

As most of you will know it was the birds which caught my eye.  I narrowed the possibles down to shots of  Perigrine, Eagle Owl,Kestral, American Kestral,Snowy Owl and this Barn Owl.
