A New Gate

I did enjoy my keg of Black Sheep bitter last night - so much so that there was none left this morning :-)

Out with Finlay this morning I discovered that a new gate has replaced a broken stile and the footpath beyond has been widened by 2-3 metres. A shame they didn’t use a wooden gate - it would have been more in keeping with the rest of the fences and gates. The original (narrow) path had become dangerous and fallen away into the drainage ditch (see extra).

So, as you do, I had to try it all out as it is a while since we have been along there.

In yet another coincidence, my blip of 8th March last year shows the old (broken) stiles - the one in the background is the one that has been replaced.
