The light changing

In the climate I live in there's no choice but to retreat indoors at this time of year. I know that lots of people like the cocooning of winter with its pools of artificial light and warm fires but I grieve for the sunlight. This year the transition has been very fast, since just five days ago I could bask in sun and warmth all day and sit outside until midnight.

Today, just before dusk, I went out to feel the change of light. Because I find that the camera is often quicker and more accurate than I am I take a lot of my pictures on auto but this evening I experimented with manual to get more of a sense of the light changing.
