Pompidou Corner

An unorthodox view of the Centre Pompidou, captured near the Rambuteau metro station. (The view didn't fit in a single image, so I needed a vertical panorama of two shots.) I was in the area for an exhibition which turned out to be closed.
The main event of the day was an exciting victory of France over England by 22-16 in the annual Six Nations rugby tournament.  This left Ireland the certain champion with one weekend of matches left; they're hoping for their third "Grand Slam" (a five-game sweep) in history (after 1948 and 2009). It's a tournament we greatly enjoy watching on TV here in Paris every winter. In fact, we appreciate rugby more than American football, and perhaps even as much as soccer (depending on who's playing, of course).
