Deep purple (and blues)

I do enjoy being back in The Netherlands and being able to buy lots of flowers for reasonable prices all year through. I think anemones are just so very interesting to look at, especially up close. They seem to have a painterly character all by them selves, but only when you capture them from very close is it possible to see the wonderful details of their hearts and their petals. If you get really close they start looking abstract in their shapes and colour variations. Actually that is what happens often when you capture any object, be it natural or man made from really close.
So I'm proposing this coming Thursday's optional AT theme as 'abstract macro' in the hope that most of you do have the possibility to get close with your cameras and or other photo devices. The tag will be AT142.
If you Google abstract macro photography you can get quite a lot of ideas on how to capture/create an abstract, here's one article I saw.

Thanks so much for all your entries for last Thursday's 'warming' challenge, I gather some of you were still having snow then, find the whole collection here ! There were some great examples of fiery images and quite some warm and spicy ones too :-) Here is my list of 5 specials:
gblrps      for a flaming leaf
gordo      for an abstract still life of chilli peppers and seeds
ExtraTime   for a very artistic cafe table abstract
frani        for  flame-like wisps of a warm colourful woolen blanket
ladypop     for a different angle on a warming object

Thanks again to all who entered the challenge and I hope you'll want to have a try at making an abstract macro this coming Thursday !

Many thanks for your kind comments and stars for the froggies hiding in the garden
