peace pagoda

Had a lovely evening with my brother last night, we went out for a meal and then watched Masterchef :-) Today he has a full schedule of driving lessons, so I’m out and about in London before meeting Sarah when she finishes work at 8pm.

Ive always meant to explore Battersea Park, and now I have. It’s surprisingly large, spanning the riverside between Chelsea and Albert Bridges. It has a children’s zoo, a small art gallery, a bandstand, all kinds of sports facilities, and the London Peace Pagoda. This was presented to the GLC in1985 by Japanese Buddhists and has four beautiful panels which illustrate the life of the Buddha.

And now for something different... off to the Hayward Gallery to see the Andreas Gursky exhibition.
