A VERY lucky escape!

I suppose I should have had this for a Tractor Tuesday challenge but as this happened today it is a day early.

This is a very scary picture as this is Rusty tractor after a nasty incident this morning. As luck had it there was no other traffic about as otherwise this could have been a very much worse incident . A very shaken Rusty emerged for the tractor to find that the impact had sheared off the front axle completely, but fortunately the trailer was still upright.

A phone call to Mr Tbay Jnr set in motion the rescue. Insurance company was informed, a rescue vehicle was dispatched and Mr Tbay Jnr headed off to the scene. The police were called and the road was shut. Rusty of course was asked to take a breathalyser test! Which of course he passed. We even made the local radio too!

Tractor is probably repairable but will be out of action for a while. Rusty is now home and has been taken to pub by the two Mr Tbays for a well deserved drink!

Oh and Sues sons car stranded on the Mendips had been written off due to someone hitting it in both the front and back. This means he has no car to get to work so poor Sue is having to take him and pick him up each day. He also has no money to buy another wreck so not too sure what they will do! Must be the day for crashes!

What a day!
