Always believe in your soul

She woke up a kid, she came back a champion.

Jnr Jnr was taken by Mrs H to Durham today for a fencing competition, and she fought a range of boys and girls aged between 10 and 14 in the opening pool.  As an 11 year old, she did well with mixed results.

In the final for her category, she was up against a girl who had already beaten her in an earlier fight.  At the break she was 6-2 down.  However, she fought back with changed tactics based on her opponents moves and won 10-9 to take the gold medal.  So, so proud!  Great experience, great sporting attitude and a great result.  Next up, British Championships :-D

I was up in the tree canopy in Buxton at a Go-Ape with Jnr Snr, a treat for her for being a generally great kid.  We had such fun, I didn't freak out once (I hate heights).... a top daddy/daughter day.
