Sadness

Ten months ago, I blipped about a visit to the vet where Nienke and Inge saw an ultrasound of the foal growing inside Armani, one of the horses of Martine's parents. Today, the foal was born but it was stillborn. Nienke and Inge were heartbroken. Ellis did her best to cheer them up and showing this Easter bunny she made at school was one of those attempts. They're all such great girls.

The news was delivered after school, where it was also a sad day because it was the day the children said goodbye to the principal who had been the head of the school for nine years. He's now working in another school. He sure had an impact for the school and he's leaving the school in a much better state than when he started. The children had stage performances and presents prepared and the principal treated all the children to ice-cream.

Inge declared this 'the worst day ever' and I guess she has a point.
