Quod oculus meus videt

Luna(tic)

We were on the search for a pair of riding boots for me today, before a late lunchtime appointment with the physio-terrorist.  Unfortunately, the idea that someone with size 12+ feet should want to ride a horse has been lost on the manufacturers of riding boots and even when we could find a pair, they were so uncomfortable as to not be worth even considering.  Still, we have 5 weeks to find something suitable - at least the hat and jodhpurs are now in the 'to pack' pile.

We decided on a walk after the treatment; my body was just capable of moving! Just as we were heading into the park we bumped into the brother -in-law and so were roped in to taking his dogs with us.  This is Luna, a cockerpoo of 8 months with way too much energy!  She literally did not stop for the whole of the walk, bombing here, there and everywhere. Still it was a great to spend some time with the B-i-L on what was probably the warmest day of the year so far.

The extra is a shot of a pair of dunnocks trying to 'get it on'.  It's purely a record shot; I saw either the same pair, or similar in the same area on Sunday.  I really think the male needs to be taken to one side by a more experienced relative.  The female is doing what she needs to do, lifting her tail to allow the act, but the male seems content to stand behind and look.  Can't see there being any tiny patter of baby dunnock's feet at this rate.  Oh and the other reason for including it was the ability to capture detail in poor light with the Nikon.  This was taken at 20,000 ISO!
