Apples and Oranges

The sound of spring cleaning got my attention today. I've longed for this to happen, so all the grovel gets swooped up. It's a sure sign that spring is arriving, even if it's not that visible outside yet.
This afternoon a friend of mine and I went to a flee market outside of town. Lots of people there and we parked at a field further down the road. When we'd payed for what we found we went back to the car and saw that two cars were slipping and sliding in the mudd... wheels going nowhere... At last, the first car managed to pull the car that got stuck out of there and he also stuck around to see what happened to us. My friend thought - very logical - that if she where to back a bit and go around the worst mudd, she'd end up on grass. The thought was good...but we got stuck. After a bit of back and fort and wheels spinning deeper into the mudd, the guy - who'd come to help us immediately - said that he would get his car and drag us loose and on to the road. He did, and he also told us that he'd been towing several cars away from the mudd. There was one car left and I suggested that he'd be helping that one too. He said yes, probably. We met the driver to the last car, on the way back to the main road, and saw that he said something to her. Probably that he would just turn around and come help her too. The road was so narrow that he had to let us drive to the main road before he could turn around and go help her. What an adventure! My friends' car looked like it's been through a mudd bath so on the way home my friend drove through every puddle of water she could find. Fortunately it was a less trafficked road so it didn't matter that she drove on the other side sometimes. :D It was also really misty outside.
I came home with a window decoration - sun catcher kind of thing - a small red wooden footstool to have as a table on my patio and a small white and blue enamel bowl. It was a nice flee market, but the parking space was not so fun... :D
