FLOWER FRIDAY - AND THE CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE!

The last time 
I had a bouquet of roses
As big as this
Was when our first son was born
Which was 47 years ago a very long time ago.

Mr. HCB is not a “flowery” person
But he says that he grows
All the flowers in the garden
Just for me - 
I guess that’s one way of getting out of
Buying your wife flowers every week!

However, we have wonderful friends
Who sent this beautiful bouquet of
Yellow roses to welcome us home and
As a belated 
Golden Wedding Anniversary gift.

Thinking about it, 
Even if Mr. HCB had bought me flowers
On the actual day
They would either have died
Or been confiscated
By the Customs Officers 
At the airport.

What a good job he saved his money!
