Spring - At long last!!!

I saw my first bee fly today, but sadly not in my garden so it doesn't really count as my first day of spring!
My garden was however totally abuzz with these wonderful Hairy-footed flower bees Anthophora plumipies, mainly the males chasing around after the all black females, although they were also doing a fair amount of chasing each other! If you look closely at the picture you can see the very 'hairy' middle leg from which the species takes it's common name. you can also see the bee's jaws which he uses to 'clamp' onto vegetation.
I also visited the Watts cemetery again, just to see the wonderful blue Cillia lined paths, I. have added a shot in extras
