West Norwood blips

Discovery

A day of scraping old paint, filling enormous holes in walls and general manual labour. It was time for a ton of volunteers to start working on the  upper rooms in the Old Fire Station

In one of the rooms a board was taken off a fireplace and this was underneath. An original stove from the 1881 Victorian fire station! It even has a MFB (Metropolitan Fire Board) logo on it. A team of heritage architects went through the building before the renovation to identify all original features and missed it and a team of builders spent 2 years working on the building and missed it!

(The photo in the extras is the shot I took on my phone on the 7th. The main blip is a better shot with my camera that I took today (8th).)
