Tourists & Tulips
Spent all day with a friend of old times, when we lived in Crete that is, and 12 years have passed since our last meet up in UK... we both thought we'd recognize each other from a million faces :)
She's visiting Holland together with a friend of hers and together we had a lovely day outdoors. Touring in my car thro' the bulb-fields and up to Noordwijk's beach (at Noordwijk we returned 8 minutes late at my parked car and found a fine of € 43,50... they're just lurking there to hand out fines... so nasty in a touristresort!)
In the bulpfields we discoverd that coz of the low temps deep into the Season, only hyacints and daffodils are blooming now, colouring the fields with their whites and pinks and purples plus the yellows from the daffodils as if colorful blankets are spread out. The heavy hyacinth scent we noticed inevitably... glad I don't have to work in those fields.
I thought ourselves lucky to come across this bed full of boldly blooming tulips... cold Spring keeps most of the tulips in waiting still with showing off their vibrant heads.
And when we spotted this bed of flowering tulips I asked my visitors to walk up the line between the flower rows and bend down in order to get The Tourist Tulip Take of them... they were totally unfamiliar with this habit of "Heads over Heads" and thought it hilarious... as you can see :)
Thank you lots for your warm reactions, stars & a fav upon my yesterday's entry of green eyed beauty cat
Have a good weekend!
