Snow Monkeys at the Hot Springs

Our hotel in Yudenaka provided a western style buffet - I felt i’d Copped out by having scrambled eggs, fruit and a croissant, but after 10 days of very different food I did enjoy it!

We had a lovely relaxing walk in the national Park, through pine woods, hoping the snow monkeys would come down from the forest. They did oblige. it was lovely to watch their antics.

Then it was a train down through orchards full of blossom to Nagoya, where we saw some children performing dance and playing music in the station. We quickly bought some food from one of the many shops in the station complex which is a mall on several floors, to eat on our bullet train to Tokyo. Another change of trains And a short walk through extremely crowded streets to our Metropolitan Hotel where we have a comfy bed in a small room on the 11th floor. The view stretches on - to infinity and beyond! Tokyo/Yokohama is the biggest city in the world with 37.5 million. More than 6 times the population of Scotland, just under half the whole of UK.

Now we’ll head off out to explore - we are not city people but it has to be done.

I blipped this monkey with my small camera. Luckily we got close to the monkeys without scaring them, as I have no zoom.
