Dams......

.....and autumn......

There's been many trips along the coast visiting small townships and reserves, the odd bush walk has been done but we both decided we needed an inland day, today was the day.

Autumn came in patches, sometimes quite strong, sometimes still coming and other times it had finished. Loved the landscape and it's shades, bare mountain ranges with a light dusting of snow, lakes gently lapping, reflections, it was magic! While it looked warm believe me it wasn't, jackets still needed.

We saw Waitaki, Aviemore and Benmore dams, Benmore being the big one with wires galore going in all directions, nicely nestled at the bottom of a mountain range.

Plenty of people out and about like us, cyclists, walkers, and drivers. A couple of extra's, Waitaki River at Kurow and some light autumn colour at Benmore.

We came home round the back roads behind Duntroon, interesting seeing the structure of the landscape, huge rocks everywhere.

Another lovely day with my dear husband by my side who very kindly stopped whenever I asked, he's a keeper for sure :)
