Apocolyptic

There was some high cloud I was watching this afternoon wondering whether we would get a good sunset.  It was blown with the hoolie that we have had today more to the East and so I went to Redhead to see it colour up and look very threatening over the shark tower. 

It was also the great train race today as part of Steamfest.  3642 v 6029.  The 6029 is a much bigger engine but it is all in good fun so I expect drivers were keeping it pretty tight.  I have put a shot of them up in the extra for the train spotters.  I have to say there is nothing quite like the whoooooooohooo of the steam train horn (or is it a whistle) when it is chuffing past spraying coal bits and smoke.  Such fun.
