Blackthorn Blossom

Blackthorn blossom thrills the hedges:
spring is on its way.
Offering such floral pledges,
Soon, it seems to say.

Quite a foggy sea mist over the village today, but one mile inland there's bright sunshine. I love seeing the blackthorn blossom, in full flower just as the hawthorn's leaves are beginning to unfurl.
