Life's Little Moments

Brrrrr

Our beautiful warm weather vanished overnight, requiring humans and birds alike to brace against the cold.  I bundled up and ventured out onto our deck to watch the activity in the yard and was rewarded with a half-dozen Downy Woodpeckers all vying for the prime spots at the feeders.  This one, having been rebuffed by another male, was rather impatiently waiting his turn perched in our cherry tree.  I like the fluffiness of the woodpecker along with the big fat buds on the tree.

MIL is coming over shortly and we'll spend an enjoyable afternoon laughing and playing cards before diving into the penne and sauce that Hubs made.  With a side of salad and some crusty Italian bread, it will be the perfect Sunday dinner for MIL.  And, on this very chilly day, a nice warm bowl of pasta will go down quite nicely.  Just need to run out and pick up a bottle of something red to go along...

I have posted another album on Flickr, this one featuring the birds, sloth and various reptiles/amphibians from Costa Rica.  There are 11 photos in total, worth a look if you have time.  Album can ve viewed HERE on Flickr

Happy Sunday, people.
