Dog violets

Last year I was given some garden pots by a neighbor of Robyn's, one of which contained some soil and some interesting little plants. Interested to see what the plants were I left the pot as it was and have been pleasantly surprised to find they are Common dog violets Viola riviniana and a very welcome addition to my garden so the pot won't be being emptied any time soon.
