Turandot

Shelly and I drove down to Mount Vernon to see the final production of Puccini ‘s opera Turandot at McIntyre Hall. The Skagit Opera Company put on the show and they did a magnificent job. The singers were all great, the sets and costumes clever and colorful, and the local elements such as young dancers from nearby schools endearing. We had a great time.

It seemed that half the audience was from Bellingham and we met many friends. Alan and Susan were there and invited us to dinner with them and three of their friends. We all had a great evening together with much talking and laughing.

Now we are at Shelly’s relaxing. Happy day.
