Life in Sunny Dubai

By GadgetKid

A storm commeth

We were headed to the Fish Market for pink blip today but radio reports were warning of an awful sandstorm hitting parts of Dubai and traffic being totally disrupted, we decided to head home instead. So we did, taking the scenic route and driving past the Creek!

The sky was AMAZING and its just a shame that it wasn't possible to capture the intense yellow/orange of the sun below dark grey clouds. Never seen anything like it! The Creek however was full of pink hues with the setting sun throwing its last bits of light on the buildings. Showing you a slighty different part of the Creek to what I've blipped before. Go large to see the suns' reflection on the windows of The Twin Towers, The Intercontinental Plaza and the Radisson SAS Hotel.

We walked to the "Eid in Dubai" fair and ate corn on the cob, followed by a nutella crepe and watched some Georgian dancers tonight. They were brilliant. So much energy and their costumes were really good too. A strong gust of wind with sand in it made for a slightly grity crepe!

Watched Hotel Transylvania before all this happened. (Using up these free tickets.) Not the sort of movie I would normally choose but there isn't that much choice. It was... interesting! Forgot Halloween is around the corner. I should have been more culturally aware!

Quite a good day on the whole. Thanks for stopping by!
